Welcome to my personal portfolio site. My name is Cynthia Mahoney and I am a graphic and web designer in the Houston area. I’ve been working with a local SEO-focused website design and development agency from December of 2018 to the present. Having previously worked in graphic and web design for 6 years during college, I took quickly to working in the fast-paced role of agency life. During this time I have expanded my skills to include search engine optimization(SEO), search engine marketing(SEM), pay-per-click advertising(PPC), social media marketing, and email marketing. I’ve learned the ins and outs of WordPress website development and worked with countless plugins from eCommerce to bookings and dynamic maps for store locations.

My education includes a Bachelors in Science for Computer Information Systems (CIS) at the University of Houston’s College of Technology(with Honors). Go Coogs! I began my college career in Graphic Design at Houston Community College but was quickly drawn to Web Design. I loved that it gave me the opportunity to use my creative intuition but also challenged me to find logical solutions to design obstacles. Once I transferred to UH, I wanted to challenge myself a bit further so I moved into CIS. Throughout this journey, I’ve gained both creative and IT skills allowing me to create, publish, manage, and analyze content.
I enjoyed my time working freelance during college, but I have thrived and increased my skills exponentially working at an agency. A colleague once told me, “working with a group is when the magic happens” and they were absolutely right.
